Sageuk overload

Watching too much fusion sageuks recently made me feel reassured that luckily i wasnt born in that era. Cases of injustice rampant among the ordinary townfolk, with their efforts coming to naught as they try all means to seek a way for the wrongs done against them to be righted, only to be cast the cold shoulder and even harshly beaten up in the end.

A thrashing isnt what i consider a grievance addressed in the best way.

I give [일지매/Iljimae] the thumbs up. Initially of course i was full of anticipation for the drama because lee junki was the lead and he's one guy who fits perfectly in historical dramas. Yet i like how the story plot goes along, with bits of subplots thrown in that dramatically spices up the whole thing. In particular, its kinda amusing/appealing how lee junki phases between a happy-go-lucky chap forced to smile and act goofy infront of everyone else and a determined man bent on seeking vengeance on the people who once destroyed his family. And i have no inkling why alot of parts kept forcing my eyes to well up when i thought it was supposed to be a comedy kind of sageuk.

Just started on the first episode of [최강칠우/Strongest Chil-woo] as well and i cant help but raise comparisons between lee junki and eric. Lets just say eric's voice is really unsuited to these kind of drama. -____- But hopefully eric's natural charisma will just be sufficient to cover his flaw~

Anyway the sisters of both characters died in the show which i found quite uncalled for, especially since they barely appeared for more than 2 or 3 episodes. Duh.

The third drama currently on my watchlist is [아이엠샘/I am Sam] which obviously is NOT a historical drama. But yeah i only watched it cos of T.O.P who looks really good here. Ha. I have a premonition that the ending will stray away from my preferred one but oh well, overall i thought it was not a bad flick about school life and such. Throw in some eye-candy and *TADAH*~~ the show instantly transforms into a watchable one. Magic. Doesnt work for all though. Lol.

Anyway T.O.P has just taken over seungri's place in my bigbang ranking. Realised taeyang and daesung are really quite erm petite. What should one do if he had the perfect body but not the height to go with it? Shrugs. As usual, the ultimate smoky look that engulfs all my fangirling tendencies immediately.

Who said that eyeliners belong solely to the gers?!
